The Wilson & Lever Story

Our journey began with a simple mission: to help painting business owners scale without the chaos. Sydney Wilson, the founder of Wilson & Lever, has spent years navigating the complexities of the industry and has overseen $1,000,000+ in painting revenue.

We believe that success isn't just about hard work; it's about the systems that keep your business running smoothly. Our mission is to provide the practical, candid guidance that owners need to transition from being the bottle-neck of the business to running a profitable and scalable operation that can function even when they're on vacation.

By sharing our real-world experience, we aim to empower you with the tools and knowledge to lead your crew with confidence and grow your business sustainably.

A Message From the Founder
--

I started Wilson and Lever because of the struggles I faced running a painting business for the first time.

The first summer I operated my company, I was 18 and in school. From January to May, I balanced doing all of my own marketing and sales. From May to the end of August, before classes resumed, I worked 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, to produce $200,000 worth of work.

I had crews, but I didn't yet have the skills or tools to systemize my business so that it didn't need me 24/7. I was working really hard, but I was focusing on the wrong things.

In my second summer, I scaled and doubled my revenue. It was the start to me building out systems that allowed me to buy some of my time back, so, while I was still working 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, I was able to run a business that was twice the size from my first year.

By my third year, I was continuing to scale but this time I was earning more while working less. During peak season, I averaged 12 hours a day 5 days a week. This is where I truly saw the affects of systemization done properly.

My goal with Wilson and Lever is to help you move faster through each step, scale without compromising the rest of your life, and run your business without becoming its bottleneck.
